Substance Abuse Professional Services

We are specially trained and certified professionals helping workers, employers, and Consortium/Third-Party Administrators (C/TPAs) across Canada with the Return to Duty process.

What is a Substance Abuse Professional (SAP)?

An SAP is a specially trained individual who evaluates employees who have violated a DOT and/or workplace drug and alcohol rule and makes recommendations concerning education, treatment, follow-up testing, and aftercare assistance that is needed to remedy the issue.

U.S. DOT Compliant

ClaritySAP is U.S. DOT compliant. For U.S. DOT workers, we provide the required notifications to your Designated Employer Representative and the FMCSA Clearinghouse following your successful completion of each step in the return-to-duty process.

Canadian Model (COAA) Compliant

ClaritySAP is COAA compliant. The Canadian Model for Providing a Safe Workplace (COAA) is a Best Practice Alcohol and Drug Policy that stakeholders in the Canadian construction, maintenance and oil and gas industries can adopt and follow.

Remote and In Person Assessments

With the recent U.S. DOT rule change we now provide remote assessments for drivers across Canada.  We continue to offer in-person assessments at our offices in Red Deer and Calgary Alberta.
